From master classes in editing and line producing, conversations and case studies with Netflix series creators, 11 sessions ranging from screen writing to Artificial Intelligence,  the amount of amazing content on offer over 48 hours was incredible. And with a funding announcement over lunch from Creative BC and Rogers Group of Funds of their new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.creativebc.com\/2019\/11\/02\/rogers-group-of-funds-creative-bc-announce-800000-partnership-supporting-bcs-motion-picture-producers-.php\">$800,000 Documentary and Factual Development Fund<\/a>, it was hard not to be enthusiastic for the future of factual entertainment in BC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCanada\u2019s talent and content has captured global audiences and its time we take credit for it.\u201d Valerie Creighton, President &amp; CEO of Canada Media Fund, said in her keynote address.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"960\" height=\"720\" src=\"http:\/\/www.fieldandpost.ca\/newsletter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/70293633_2455652977856706_1552027990513156096_n-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-636\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.fieldandpost.ca\/newsletter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/70293633_2455652977856706_1552027990513156096_n-1.jpg 960w, http:\/\/www.fieldandpost.ca\/newsletter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/70293633_2455652977856706_1552027990513156096_n-1-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.fieldandpost.ca\/newsletter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/70293633_2455652977856706_1552027990513156096_n-1-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Some quotes from attendees<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis was my first Factual West and I loved it.
