For the first time, STORYHIVE has an Edition just for documentary filmmakers.<\/p>
With thirty $50,000 production grants available to BC and Alberta filmmakers, they are looking to fund a diverse slate of projects that take viewers to compelling places and showcase the diversity of western Canada.\u00a0<\/p>
The successful creator teams will also receive customized career training, filmmaking mentorship and distribution of their projects on select TELUS platforms.<\/p>
Here\u2019s what you need to apply:
\u25cf Great idea for a short documentary film (15-30 minutes)
\u25cf Eligible Project Lead (Canadian Citizen or permanent resident and resident of BC or AB)
\u25cf Multimedia submission (60-second pitch video, title card, box art)
\u25cf A budget breakdown
\u25cf Pitch document (up to 3 pages)<\/p>
They also want to know how this grant will accelerate your career as a filmmaker and how your project supports diversity and inclusion in the industry.<\/p>
