For the first time, STORYHIVE has an Edition just for documentary filmmakers.
With thirty $50,000 production grants available to BC and Alberta filmmakers, they are looking to fund a diverse slate of projects that take viewers to compelling places and showcase the diversity of western Canada.
The successful creator teams will also receive customized career training, filmmaking mentorship and distribution of their projects on select TELUS platforms.
Here’s what you need to apply:
● Great idea for a short documentary film (15-30 minutes)
● Eligible Project Lead (Canadian Citizen or permanent resident and resident of BC or AB)
● Multimedia submission (60-second pitch video, title card, box art)
● A budget breakdown
● Pitch document (up to 3 pages)
They also want to know how this grant will accelerate your career as a filmmaker and how your project supports diversity and inclusion in the industry.
Applications close at 12:00pm PST on Tuesday, July 3 2018.
